In this section you will find information and data sheets for a range of flexible cables suited to a wide variety of applications, if you have a requirement for a cable type not shown here then please call us, we may still be able to help

Extensible cables come in a number of different types, it is important to select the correct type for your application :-
This is a PVC/PUR cable with excellent ‘elastic' properties making it suitable for most general purpose applications including hand tools and power supplies to cash tills.
If your application involves very arduous duty or extreme temperatures such as foundry or cold store environment then you should choose Extensiflex ‘G', which is an EPR/PUR construction suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.
A TPE/PUR cable specifically designed for electronic applications and available in screened and non-screened versions, the ideal cable type for medical equipment, measuring devices and other similar equipment.
This is the top of the range of extensible cables, manufactured from TPE/PUR Robotics cable and suitable for very arduous applications such as robots, electric doors, heavy duty machines, lifting ramps and drilling machines. They are used where high quality and long service life are required.

This section covers the standard PVC/PVC round cables, YY & CY & Rubber cables H07RN-F
This is a standard PVC/PVC cable suitable for both power and control circuits in a variety of fixed installations. Although it is suitable for damp applications it should be protected when used outdoors and should not be used in water. It is available in both unscreened (YY) and screened (CY) versions. Also available are UL/CSA versions which are approved for use in North America.
A general purpose Neoprene cable suitable for both indoor and outdoor use, and for fixed and moving installations. It is more flexible and hard wearing than the PVC cables making it suitable for more arduous applications such as construction sites.
Robotics cables are specifically designed for cable drag chain and other similar applications.
Cables carried by cable drag chains are subjected to frequent bending at tight bend radii, - standard PVC/PVC and rubber cables would have a limited life cycle in such applications. In comparison, robotics cables are specifically designed for drag chain use, standard versions stocked at SIMBAL are ROBOTFLEX T which is a TPE/PUR construction cable and ROBOTFLEX T-CY which is a copper braided screened version of the same cable. These cables are halogen free and flame retardent as standard. The extremely flexible nature of these cables means that they can also be considered for some festoon and drum reeling applications.
We carry a full range of cable glands and cable anchor stockings to suit all cable types shown on this site.
