The most common flatform cable types are PVC/PVC and Neoprene although special cables such as LSF Halogen Free are available
'FLATFLEX' H07VVH6-F PVC/PVC cables are most commonly used on festoon systems carrying power and control signals to equipment such as overhead cranes, electric hoists and many other types of mobile machinery. 'FLATFLEX has a PVC sheath and PVC insulation, is rated at 450/750 Volts and has a minimum bending radius of 8 x the cable thickness. 'FLATFLEX CY' which is a copper braided screened version is also available in most sizes.
'NEOFLAT' NGFLGOU-J/JZ NEOPRENE FLATFORM CABLES
Where more arduous duty cycles or harsh working environments are an issue ‘FLATFLEX N' (NGFLGOU-J/JZ) can be used, this is a harder wearing, more flexible cable with EPR insulation and Neoprene sheath. The rating of NEOFLAT is 300/500 Volts
There are also many other, less common types of Flatform cable available including screened versions, LSF, Halogen Free and cables specially designed for elevator applications.
