Industrial radio control can be simplified by breaking it down in to two categories, namely Single frequency radio and Multi frequency radio. SIMBAL 'ULTRABEAM' Single frequency systems work on a momentary transmission basis using a single radio signal to open or close a relay hence activating a command whereas the SIMBAL 'IMET' Multi frequency system is a far more sophisticated system with the possibility of changing frequencies to avoid interference from other radios in the vicinity, all multi frequency systems supplied by SIMBAL use the continuous transmission principle by continuously transmitting & interogating large numbers of radio signals, this is a critical feature for any safety related operation as it guarantees that any fault or rogue signal is instantly recognised and activates a stop command preventing unsecure operation of the machine.
