Never mind how large the range of standard products, there are still some applications which require special solutions.
IMET development engineers have many years experience in the design of bespoke radio systems and can offer a solution to suit most requirements.
Pitch & Catch
Pitch & Catch is the popular name given to radio control systems for the tandem control of two or more cranes from a single transmitter. The design of these systems includes a complete radio system for each crane, allowing normal control when not in tandem mode, one crane is designated as the master and the transmitter for that crane has the capability to ‘log on' to other cranes to give tandem control. Transmitters which can be used are Wave push-button, ZEUS / THOR joystick or any combination of the three although ideal solutions use a joystick transmitter for the master crane as there is more flexibility to add selector switches and indicator LED's to clearly show crane status. It is also important to be aware of new EN and HSE regulations which are due to come into force during 2008 and which make particular reference to certain safety features concerning tandem control using radio systems for overhead cranes, SIMBAL/IMET are already proposing systems which comply fully with these new regulations.
Special Solutions
Even with the huge range of standard products available from IMET, there are still some obscure applications which require a special solution, any combination of buttons, switches, joysticks and potentiometers can be incorporated to control both on/off and proportional signals - whatever your requirement there is sure to be a remote radio solution available.
